Programs
"The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, as that every child should be given the wish to learn." - Sir John Lubbock
Preschool
Tri-Con's preschool program assists a child's smooth transition to Kindergarten. Students build confidence and develop skills within a diverse, cheerful, and nurturing environment that prepares them to become lifelong learners. Experienced, highly trained teachers support the children in their early education by fostering curiosity, experimentation, imagination, and problem solving. As the children learn to establish new friendships with peers and navigate social standards, they also build positive and trusting relationships with adults.
After-School Enrichment
The after-school enrichment program supplements the curriculum of North Shore School District 112, focused on Common Core standards. Tri-Con's program provides additional support and reinforcement on skills presented in school for children in both kindergarten and first grade. Tri-Con offers the opportunity for early learners to participate in a program that extends their day while offering continuous opportunities for learning and play. Transportation is available from some of the district's schools.
Summer Camp
Tri-Con's camp program serves children who will be entering first grade in the Fall. The summer involves outdoor activities plus fun-filled, age-appropriate experiences that include a variety of special events and field trips. The summer program is a great way for children to maintain their skills for first grade over the duration of the summer break.
